Resort Information St Anton

St. Anton is situated in the heart of one of the worlds finest ski areas, the Arlberg, and holds the crown of `Europe’s liveliest ski resort'. The magnificent ski area of St. Anton is divided into three main areas, Valluga, Gampen-Kapell and Rendl. Skiing and snowboarding has always been legendary, as Alpine skiing began in this area nearly a century ago. Today it is attracting winter sport fans from all over the world for ski weekend and holidays. St. Anton offers plenty of skiing for all abilities and levels. Its vast ski area includes a huge number of spine tingling off-piste descents and over 160 km of off piste, ungroomed routes. Linked with the high resorts of Zurs and Lech the Arlberg area has one of the best snow records in Europe. The St. Anton ski resort itself is a long, sprawling mixture of traditional and modern buildings crammed into a narrow valley. St. Anton also has plentiful restaurants, vibrant nightlife and great shopping.Being the host for the 2001 World Alpine Championships, St. Anton will most definitely offer a challenge or two no matter how adept you are. This resort appeals to all levels but is mostly an experts’ one, with awesome off-piste, moguls and powder. Actually, both off piste and cross country skiing are very popular in the area, keeping any ability level of skier content and definitely will ensure that your adrenaline keeps pumping. The village height of the resort amounts to 1304m, whereas the highest lift is 2811m.
