VAL THORENS - Information

Resort Information VAL THORENS

Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and offers guaranteed snow throughout the season, and is also part of the famous 3 valleys ski area. The resort’s fantastic lift system is the envy of most of the other ski resorts and you will find that you never have to queue for very long, even on the busiest dates of the season. The resort offers a fantastic selection of accommodations ranging from 3 and 4 star hotels to a great range of quality and affordable self catering apartments and chalets. Val Thorens also boasts an impressively long ski season: from November 20th, 2010 to May 8th, 2011.Val Thorens offers skiers some of the best skiing in Europe, whether it’s their superb beginner facilities, wide choice of immaculately groomed pistes or the extensive off piste options available to the adventurous among you, it really has something for everyone. Last year Val Thorens installed 4 new beginner lifts adjacent to the ski school meeting points and nursery slopes making it the ideal place to learn how to ski or board. The local area lift pass also includes the lesser known 4th Valley of Orelle, where you will often find slightly quieter lifts and pistes along with some fantastic off piste.
